I love airports (maybe not all of them but some for sure). I think for an architect that must be one of the most challenging projects to build. I also like when after landing you are not being sucked in to a tube that leads you directly into the gate, but rather get on a little bus that drives you around. I always feel like I am on an excursion around the airport, rushing to take a window seat and look around while driving among aircrafts.
Not that long time ago I had to transfer to my New York flight in Frankfurt airpot (Germany) and had that little "tour" on a bus getting into a terminal. The weather and low clouds really made a beautiful and surreal scenery that morning. Sure, photos are color corrected here and there in Photoshop, but I didn't enhance clouds that much, they were pretty much the same.
I was lucky enough to have my Fuji X100 camera in my bag, so I was running around the airport taking photos. What was very cute is that I also did some photos on my iPhone and posted on Twitter, within 5 minutes the official Frankfurt airport Twitter account started retweeting my photos and leaving nice comments to me :)
